PEMBANGUNAN KOMUNITI BERTERASKAN WAKAF: MEMAHAMI KONSEP WAKAF DENGAN PRINSIP MAQASID AL-SYARIAH

Community development based on wakaf is an approach that can generate momentum in strengthening the well-being of the Muslim community. In this context, wakaf is considered an important medium to foster socio-economic sustainability, education, and general welfare. This study aims to reveal the positive effects and potential of community development that is sourced from wakaf, while emphasizing the importance of understanding the concept of wakaf with the principle of maqasid al-Shariah. In addition, it also aims to encourage the community to continue to empower the role of wakaf in community development. This study uses a qualitative method that involves data collection methods. The data collection method in this study is based on library research. This includes sources in the form of arguments from the Qur'an, hadiths, books, journals, dissertations, seminar proceedings, working papers and websites to evaluate the role of waqf based on the principles of maqasid al-Shariah in empowering community development. The results of the study concluded that community development based on wakaf is an approach with great potential in achieving community well-being, while emphasizing that understanding the concept of wakaf with the principle of maqasid sharia is important to ensure effectiveness in community development based on wakaf.
