ADAB-ADAB MASJID MENGIKUT SUDUT PANDANG IMAM NAWAWI DALAM KITAB RIYADUSSOLIHIN

(THE ADAB IN THE MOSQUE ACCORDING TO THE PERSPECTIVE OF IMAM NAWAWI IN KITAB RIYADUSSOLIHIN)

Abstract

Imam Nawawi Rahimahullah is a highly revered Islamic scholar. His knowledge and expertise in fiqh are evident through his writings, which continue to be a reference for students of knowledge. This paper discusses the perspective of Imam Nawawi Rahimahullah on the adab (manners) in the mosque as found in his work Riyadussolihin. To complete this study, the methodology used is based on data collection, information analysis, and qualitative library research. The data collected are primarily based on the book Riyadussolihin as the main reference, its commentaries, as well as articles and academic journals related to this topic. The findings of the study show that there are four main adab emphasised by Imam Nawawi in preserving the sanctity and dignity of the mosque. These include the prohibition of spitting in the mosque, not raising one's voice or conducting trade in the mosque, refraining from attending the mosque with an unpleasant odour, and the proper etiquette of sitting in the mosque when the imam is delivering the sermon.
